Hello friends, I left last night to visit my sister, asking if she would take me to the airport in the morning; being my wonderful sister she agreed (love you.) Sadly, me being me, I realized I left my phone at her house halfway to the airport (sigh.) Fortunately, her roommate is another wonderful human, and she volunteered to take me to the airport. I met up with my good friend who… Read More

Hello friends, Tomorrow I’ll be leaving for Costa Rica! I’m looking forward to getting to spend the next week hiking through the jungles, climbing mountains, swimming along the beaches, and meeting new and wonderful people. She was never the most clever, the fastest, brightest, or funniest. She read slowly; she learned slowly. Her jokes fell short and she stumbled in her speech. He built tall towers that never quite made it over the highest trees; the windows never fully sealed against the immortal winds. The man left the privacy of his walls only to hunt, some days for food, others for boredom. He never felt bored before he built his sanctuary, but he was… Read More

I’ve been wanting to start cutting my own hair for a while. I wont have to spend money on the haircut, I’ll save time en route to the barber, I can compost my hair (it’s actually really a great source of nitrogen for your compost), but I’ll be the first to admit it’s a little intimidating. For one, there’s the challenge of seeing the back of your head (or your entire head… Read More

There’s something magical about the few moments before the sun begins it’s arc through the sky. When the earth around you remains black as night, but the horizon begins to glow. The sun marches on preceded by it’s retinue of lights, telling tales of yesterday, and destines of tomorrow.
