I love you, Big Bend

From the singing sands of Western Asia,
Across the coasts of California.
From the mighty trees of Yoyogi Koen,
Across the naves of Florence.

The stars change their positions,
The Sun intensifies and and softens.
Bird sing in accent,
Food tells a new story.

Years I may wander,
Months without language,
Weeks with no bed,
Nights spent in wonder.

Always I’ll hear,
The call of the mountains.
Forever I’ll feel,
The pull of the river.

Regardless of time,
Distance or day,
Our reunion will transcend,
I love you, Big Bend.
